Belgian Championships 2026
February 8, 2026 by Annick Van Driessche The 36st Belgian Championships, Saturday February 7th in venue Tolhuis in Ghent, were another great ITF-Belgium event, organized by Taekwon-Do Club Gent and the ITF-Belgium TUIC. Competitors from all around the country, kids, youth, pre-juniors, juniors and senior took part in tul, teamtul, sparring, teamsparring, kids sparring, power breaking, pre-arranged free sparring and special techniques, black belts as well as coloured and white belts. Together with the referees and coaches from all the affiliated club, with the organizers, the TUIC, the many volunteers and supporters, they made it a great championship with positive vibes, a nice atmosphere and sportmanship, many high-level performances and happy faces.

ITF-Belgium wants you!

There are some vacant places in the committees, and we are counting on YOU to put forward your candidature. Are you eager to engage for ITF Taekwon-Do and ITF-Belgium? Do you have the time to take up some tasks? Do you want to work with and for the members ITF-Belgium, thus helping developing the federation and ITF Taekwon-Do? The federation is looking for 1 or 2 extra persons, among them one person who is native French speaking. Congress Meeting 2026
January 25, 2026 by Annick Van Driessche Lokeren, Sunday January 25th On the annual Congress Meeting 2026 the board, instructors and committee chairs & members gathered to evaluate 2025 and to discuss the perspectives for 2026. Themes such as the accountability 2025, the budgets and forecast 2026, an evaluation of the events 2025 and a planning for 2026, an evaluation of and by the different committees and much more where on the agenda. But also issues like international problems were discussed. Also on the agenda was the change of name of the non-profit organization ITF-Vlaanderen eV vzw into ITF-Belgium, and the reunification of the two regional associations (ITF-Vlaanderen eV vzw and ITF-Wallonie) into ITF-Belgium, getting back to the situation before 1995, when ITF-Belgium became an umbrella organization.
