AETF Committees

During the European Championships in Spain, November 2021, at the annual Congress Meeting, elections (4 yearly) for the AETF Board and the Revisory Committee were being held. Master Virginia Dionisi was elected as vice-president, GrandMaster Frank Vanberghen was re-elected as chairperson of the Revisory Committee.

The newly elected AETF Board held its board meeting in Poland, January 15th. During this meeting the members of existing and new established AETF committees were elected. GrandMaster Frank Vanberghen was re-elected as chairperson of the AETF Revisory Committee, Master Annick Van Driessche was elected as chairperson of the AETF Women Committee and Benito Martinez was elected as member of the Inclusion Committee.

With this, members of ITF-Belgium are involved in both the Board ITF as AETF and committees of both federations.

Action ITF-Belgium T-shirts for the victims of the floods

The T-shirts ITF-Belgium are still available (in sizes 8, 12, XS and XL – other sizes are already out of stock ), with the ITF logo in the front and the logo ITF-Belgium at the back. The price has not changed for years, it’s still 12€. However, we’re doing a special action from today until July 31st.

You can order one or more T-shirts (contact taekwondo1@telenet.be); the amount we collect this way, of T-shirts ordered and transfered before that date, will be tranferred integrally to the bank account of the Red Cross for the victims of the floods of last week.

Send an e-mail, we can agree on how the shirt(s) will come your way, and transfer the amount right away to the number that will be send as reply (in order to be sure, you can send the proof of payment before the deadline).

ITF Policy on Harassment

Although due to the pandemic the ITF Board is not able to meet in person, since April 2020 the Board Members had a Board Meeting through Zoom every month, always on a Sunday morning 7.00 am CET, for 5-6 hours. A lot has been done and decided during these many hours, and also the ITF Bylaws have been revised, many ITF Policies have been updated or written, etc.

On May 2nd also the new ITF Adult Harassment Policy was voted after several months of work and 16 draft versions. Meanwhile a Children Harassment Policy is on its way.

The policy comes with an awareness campaigh against all kinds of harassment, to show that ITF has zero tolerance against harassment.

ITF-Belgium will implement the policy in its own rules, at this moment the Disciplinary Committee and the API’s are working on this.

The policy is published on the ITF website and on the website ITF-Belgium, in the section ‘Documents’: click here.

Belgium in lockdown again

As Belgium is facing a second lockdown, starting from November 2nd on and for at least another 6 weeks, all sport facilities have been closed. Most clubs took up digital training sessions again. The planned face-to-face activitities ITF-Belgium are cancelled or postponed for the time being. Just as in the periode March-June we’ll come up with online alternatives, so stay tuned to keep updated.

Meanwhile: stay strong, stay safe, take care about yourselves and the your loved ones! Together we can beat that virus!
