National Team

Coaches

ITF-Belgium can count on several coaches in the guidance of team members and potential team members during trial trainings, squad trainings and on championships. They can be contacted for any advice concerning competition matters. The coaches all have experience as competitor and/or coach on European and World Championships.

The coaches are member of an affiliated school ITF-Belgium and thus member of ITF-Belgium; they should have paid their annual fee and insurance. They are black belt holders with a proper certificate number & teaching license. The coaches agree with the rules and regulations ITF-Belgium and the decisions taken by the board and will always represent ITF-Belgium in a proper way. The coaches will be present as much as possible on all activities organized by ITF-Belgium and/or the national team. They work closely together with the instructors ITF-Belgium.

National Coaches Tasks

  • Give account to the president as supervisor
  • Coordinate the trial- and squadtrainings
  • Make the selection of the national team and are responsible for the registration of the team, together and in cooperation with the board
  • On championships : paperwork/registration, attend the coachmeeting, coaching, responsible for the functioning of the team etc.
  • Follow the progress and results of (future/potential) teammembers & motivate the athletes to join the team
