Also during the restrictions due to Covid-19 and in holiday season, the board members ITF-Vlaanderen vzw are trying to keep in contact. Since meeting face-to-face is still difficult, the board decided to hold a Zoom meeting on Saturday August 8th.

Saturday August 1st, 17.00-19.00h, for the second time this year ITF-Belgium hosted a National Instructors Course via Zoom, open to all instructors and assistant-instructors I°degree and above affiliated to ITF-Belgium. On the program this time: Ge-Baek & Choong-gun. With the practise of and explanation of fundamental movements related to the patterns, questions of the participants and doing the tuls on and without count.
The instructors participated in their garden (the weather was nice), living room or kitchen. At the end of the seminar, there was some time to reflect on the situation during Covid-19 and to check if everyone is fine.
We all hope the next NIC, which is scheduled for September 13th, and is planned to be in the dojang, face-to-face, will not be a digital course.
Zoom meeting for GrandMasters
On Friday evening July 31st a Zoom session with the ITF Technical Committee was organised, open to GrandMasters only. Grandmasters from around the world took part in this 2h session with GM Marano, GM Lan, Master McPhail and Master Jedut. The seminar was opended by ITF President GM Paul Weiler.
Amongst the 30 participants was also GM Frank Vanberghen.
IUC webinar via Zoom

The ITF Tournament & Umpire Committee hosted a webinar, a digital IUC (International Umpire Course) for Europe through Zoom on July 11th. Together with referees from all over Europe, also the belgian TUC was well represented as Eddy Van Damme (chairman of the TUC ITF-Belgium) as well as members of the TUC Benito Martinez, Sophie Ardenoy and Orchana De Corte participated.
