ITF Congress Meeting 2021

Saturday December 18th

The ITF members countries and responsables gathered, for the second year in a row through the Zoom platform, for the General Assembly 2021 to take some important decisions, to get an update, to listen to what happened in 2021 and to get a view on the plans for 2022. Also GrandMaster Frank Vanberghen and Master Annick Van Driessche were present, as resp. chairman of the ITF Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee and as ITF Board Member, but also as representants of ITF-Belgium.

The meeting went smoothly and took 2h15.

All North American & Carribean eTournament

November 26th-December 11th

This eTournament in tul & pre-arranged free sparring was open to all ITF members, so the number of participants and participating countries & clubs was big and from all around the ITF world: Australia, Canada, Taiwan, Ethiopia, Finland, Jamaica, Malaysia, Scotland, USA, Uruguay and also one of the affiliated schools of ITF-Belgium: Taekwon-Do Club Gent. A lot of famous competitors participated, and a lot of reknown clubs.

The participants of Taekwon-Do Club Gent performed on a very high level, and this resulted in a lot of medals. Congratulations to competitors and instructors.

Taekwon-Do Club Gent turned out to be the overall winner of the tournament, the school ranked first in list of participating clubs!

International Instructors Course Andorra

December 10th-12th

For the first time ever an IIC is being organised in Andorra. Together with this IIC also an IAC and an IKC are being held. From ITF-Belgium, Master Virginia Dionisi, Andreea Musca, Laura Mouret and Marco Gaspar are taking part in the event.

Master Virginia has been invited by the chairman of the ITF Technical Committee, GrandMaster Hector Marano, to conduct classes during the IIC, as special guest. This is an honour, not only for herself, but to the whole belgian federation.

Master promotion in Scotland

GrandMaster Frank Vanberghen has been invited by the Scottish federation to conduct, together with Honorably GrandMaster Tom MacCallum, a Master promotion in Livingston, near Edinburgh. Three candidates VII° degree will present themselves for both GrandMasters on Saturday December 11th.
