The ITF TUC still needs to confirm the applications of the umpires. Eddy Van Damme and Benito Martinez applied to be part of the umpire team on the 2019 WC.

Trail training national team

The second trial training 2018 for the national team will take place in Woluwe, Sunday November 4th, 10.00-13.00h. The trials are open to all members ITF-Belgium as from 4th kup on, who want to join the Belgian team on short or longer term and who send in the information form.

After these trials the selection for the 2019 World Championships in Germany will be announced.

For the 2019 European Championships in October new trial trainings will be organized.

World Championships 2017 ITF Taekwon-Do

De national coaches announced the selection for the WC 2017 (October 9th-15th in Dublin, Ireland) on July 2th:

  • Hans Rombaut: senior male tul 4°-6°degree
  • Andreea Musca: senior female tul 4°-6°degree & senior pre-arranged free sparring
  • Erika Knihti-Van Driessche: senior female power breaking
  • Leen Walraeve: senior female tul 1°degree & senior pre-arranged free sparring
  • Hans Van Lierde: senior male power breaking
  • Margaux Pollefeyt: junior female tul 1°degree, junior female sparring -55kg & junior female power breaking

The coaches during the WC: Yves Pollefeyt & Bob Wigman.

They will be accompagnied by

  • Eddy Van Damme: umpire
  • Annick Van Driessche: official
  • Master Frank Vanberghen: official

Iudith Rita Musca and Liviu Musca will travel with the team as supporters.

2015 World Championships

wcThe time schedule for the World Championships are online.

Without any changes, the belgian competitors will be performing on Wednesday and Thursday:

  • Wednesday morning May 27th :
    • Bram De Corte, sparring -62kg, ring 4 or 9
  • Thursday morning May 28th :
    • Bram De Corte tul I°degree, ring 1 or 2
    • Pablo Pascuzzo, sparring -57kg, ring 3 or 4

The ring depends on the draws.

Concerning our friends from ITF-Luxembourg : Philine Wassenaar will be competing in sparring -55kg on Wednesday morning & in tul on Thursday morning, Melanie Eysschen will be up on Friday morning for tul, in ring 2.
